Isovist mapping
Character and context, supplementary planning guidance, published by the Mayor of London in June 2014, defines isovist mapping as: ‘A mapping technique devised by Hillier et al as part of the Space Syntax methodology (see Space Syntax entry below) to demonstrate permeability and legibility. Isovists are generated by plotting the maximum extent of a space and its context visible from a specific point.'
